Welcome to Sangeeta’s Rasoi!

Sangeeta launched this endeavor on the 6th of July 2021. Sangeeta had long wanted to do something for the poor women who worked for her and for others in this area. At first she toyed with the idea of a non- profit (NGO). However, the idea of constantly rising money from others by appealing to their humanitarian impulses did not appear attractive in the long term. Not only that, she wanted these women to be self-reliant and independent – and not depend on charity.

It was then that she thought of a for profit company that would be owned by the women who worked for that company. The idea was to share profits and more importantly, to create long term earnings that continued into their old age. Often, such women are dependent on their husbands and later their children despite making great sacrifices and working hard all their lives. Sometimes they are abandoned in their infirmity and have to eke out an existence by doing odd jobs (usually involving strenuous physical labor).
